Not leaving it out in the car in your bag as well as wiping it down once per week will help it to last longer as sweat among other things breaks the foam and paint down over time. For the straps I don't do anything although sometimes one will work lose from where its glued and then you just use a glue gun to re-glue it. Anytime I get rid of a set of gear or replace it I keep the straps just for this reason and to replace a strap if I have to.

I had this problem many years ago. So I went down to my local marine suppliers and bought myself a small stainless steel sink complete with hand pump. Then bought a kitchen base unit ,small section of worktop, cut a hole in the top ,dropped in the sink, fitted hand pump. Then in the base unit, put in 2 containers, one for freshwater, the other for waste. I also fitted casters to the base unit enabling me to position it anywhere in the room. So, about 3 weeks ago i was sitting on the floor in my room eating. Several times i noticed something in the corner of my eye black, moving fast. It came out and I realized it was a mouse. i freaked! did not catch it that night. The following day, I tore my room apart cleaning EVERYTHING and made it smell good with Murphy's oil soap. I found mouse droppings in a spot the mouse ran last night (under a dresser drawer) and I washed my sheets with extra fabric softeners. I found no mouse holes anywhere. I set 2 traps in my room, 3 in the kitchen, and 3 in the garage. I caught a total of 5 -_-. The other 3 traps are still laid out, I haven't seen or caught anymore since, and I've been spraying peppermint oil all over the house and my room. I never eat in my room any more and vaccuum/clean it once a week. There's not a crumb or spec of dirt anywhere in my room; is it safe to say the mice are gone, if not..what can anyone recommend?

Let me suggest another option. I built a planter using pressure treated landscaping timbers.cut about 1 foot long. Lay them on the ground side by side with about an inch of space between them. then get a roll of plumbers tape (this is a galvanized strip of thin metal perforated with holes about every 1 inch; a roll is 50 feet long) Lay the tape across the whole row of timbers 2 or3 inches from 1 end and secure each timber to the tape with a screw. Do the same thing 2 or 3 inches from the other end. Now you can stand them up on end and wrap them into a circle around the existing remnants of the whiskey barrel. You will end up with an attractive planter that sort of looks like a whiskey barrel and it will last for 50 years or so. Of course you'll have to do the math to determine how many timbers it takes to form a circle of the circumference desired. The plumbers tape will be on the outside of your planter,resembling the metal bands of the barrel. I made mine in a 20 foot circle around a hickory tree, filled it with soil and planted it full of herbs. This was 25 years ago and it still looks good. I get compliments on it even after all these years.

Here in east Texas cilantro,chives,onions,and dill start to die off in the late spring/early summer.The "tarragon" you referred to is more likely an herb called Mexican mint marigold. It doesn't do well in the summer either. But don't discard it or the chives ,when the weather cools down they'll start growing again (perennials). I suggest you get another parsley. They grow for 2 years - a real thing of beauty. It is my favorite herb to grow!

I have stained my deck before. After 2 years, it had a lot of green mold growing from a very wet spring. I cleaned it thoroughly with soap and water, scrubbing and then a spray on deck cleaner. I had planned just to use water seal, but the cleaning removed some of the stain. I applied the same stain with sealer that I used before. Is leaving dogs outside all day cruelty when they want to be inside?

So my dad and his wife have two labs which they leave outside during the day while they are at work. I live somewhere else so I only see the dogs about a couple times a month. Every time I go over there, I let them in because they want to be inside. One of them hates being left alone outside! He likes it outside, only when people are with him. He sleeps all day and prefers to do that in an air conditioned house and on the couch. I know this cause the only time I can get him outside is if I drag him or stay out there with him but as soon as I come in he pushes me out of the way to make sure I don't leave him out. It doesn't matter the weather, he always wants to be inside during the day. Sometimes after them being inside for 8 hours, I come home and feed them and he wont go outside! He'd rather hold it all day inside than be out. The other dog doesn't really care as long as she is with him and not alone. They do have water (though most of the time it doesn't look very clean) and beds in the shade. I don't even think my dads wife has even washed their dog bowls with soap. It's disgusting. One time their bowl had a little bit of non clean water from the day before and my dad went to pour it out and his wife actually told him not too and to just fill it. Wtf? The only times they get washed and get clean water is when I do it. Which isn't much since I'm not over there that often. Whenever I tell them it's too hot outside/too cold out or to just leave them inside because they want to be in I always get the same response "they're dogs, they like it outside". I just don't really see the point in leaving them out, they never go to the bathroom in the house, they don't make a mess, all they do is lay on the couch. My dad's family is just obsessed with the dogs not being inside. They don't like dogs which is the reason. Every time I'm home alone and someone shows up the first thing they say is "why are the dogs inside" It just makes no sense to me. Like it's okay to them if they are inside from 8pm to 8 am but 8am to 8 pm they just have to be outside! I don't get it... I consider what they are doing cruelty, leaving the dogs outside when its 30-90 degrees out. I just don't see the harm in leaving them in. Am I wrong?

English bulldog question?

I have a Female English bulldog I bought a couple months ago. She is a little over a year and Mostly all white. I give her baths about once a week with some awesome dog shampoo I get from Petsmart. I am just not comfortable with sticking soap all over her face in the wrinkles and by her eyes so I am wondering if there is something I can put on a wash rag and use to clean her face that wont hurt her or burn her eyes and will get the dirt and tear stains out. If anyone has bulldog knowledge and knows something I can use please let me know what it is and maybe where I can purchase it. Okay im 16 and i have acne i had it since 6 grade. I was wondering what are some solutions to get rid of acne on my face,back, shoulders and chest. I always pick up after my dog but i walk her in my neighbourhood and there are no public bins to dispose it?

Okay, well first off my face is just really oily and acne prone. I have been using hand soap and warm water and lathering it into my face about once everyday. I do listen to NWOBHM, which isn't a genre per se, but more of an underground movement in British heavy metal back in the late 70's/early 80's.
