Dying your hair a few hours after washing it?

I just went to the pool. I was going to just wash the chlorine out without any soap (just water) then I though well why don't I wash it and just dye it because the box dye im using has fruit oils and stuff in it? What should I do I'm really really impatient and really want to dye it tonight! So should I just wash the chlorine out with water or wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner?
